I knew 5th graders were doing D.A.R.E. I knew Cole had to do an essay. I was driving by the school and saw on the reader board that D.A.R.E. graduation was March 16th. Last weekend I asked Cole if he had to do an essay. He tells me "yes. he did it. he typed it at home. He turned it in already." He wasn't sure when the assembly was going to be. Last night he gave me the flyer - good thing I already planned on going! I get there and - Cole was an essay winner. 2 kids from each class are chosen to read their essays. Way to go Cole!
Cole read his essay and got a medal for being a winner! Just look at his size compared to some classmates!
Everyone got a Large shirt. I was glad Cole tucked it in during the assembly!
