Marshall was awarded Top Dog for Mrs. Butcher's 6th grade class today. This is an award given 3 times a school year and one student per class. The teacher picks a student that stands out as a great student - and not just in grades. Well supposedly that is how it works, but I have been helping the teacher that is in charge of Top Dog and I have had to type a list of students that have received this award in years past. The teachers are encouraged to pick someone in their class that hasn't received the award before. You know we live in a world of "there is no loser" or "everyone is a winner". Marshall's teacher didn't pay attention to that list because Marshall has received this award in Kindergarten and in 4th grade.
