Sometimes I think it is a waste to go to P/T conferences because there is never a problem with my kids (yet!). At Marshall's conference we were talking with his PAWS/Science teacher. She speaks what the Underwoods term "Spanglish". She was telling me that Marshall had written in his journal about "overcoming challenges". He wrote about last year when he was sick and going through tests at Primary Children's Hospital. She felt really bad she didn't know that Marshall was in the hospital - she even started to cry - get teary - I think Marshall wanted to crawl under the table. It was really nice that she was concerned about her students. She makes 12 blankets each month for children at Primary Children's Hospital. She tries to make sure her students get a blanket. ANYWAY - she made a blanket for Marshall - even though he was never admitted in the hospital - which I think he wants to crawl under the table so nobody sees him with it because it has a purple edge and dragons on it. She put a lot of work into that blanket - we will still enjoy it!
The rest of Marshall's conferences were excellent! 100% or more in every class! Way to go!
