At the last minute, I get a call saying that the room moms need to decorate the door for Teacher Appreciation week. There is no assigned mom for Marshall's 6th grade, so I was called to help. I spent an entire day doing it. He has a fabulous teacher that is retiring this year. The saying says, "Making Students into Stars - one year at a time. 1983-2009" (Those were her years at Midvalley Elementary.) Thanks to Amber for cutting out my letters on her handy machine - and delaying her doing her teacher door - it turned out great. I wanted to do the door for Cole's teacher that I just love, but the real room mom said she had it taken care of. That was a good thing, because I forgot how much time it really takes to do the job.
